RevCo 2's / 4's
Team Composition
-
Must be 1 man + 1 woman (2's), or 2 men + 2 women (4's).
-
In Quads: a 3–1 ratio is allowed either way (3 men, 1 woman or 3 women, 1 man).
-
If 3 men: one must be designated the libero (cannot attack above the net in any form, but can set in front of the 10’ line)
-
If 3 women: one must be designated the "guy" and follow all male-specific rules
-
Attack Line Rules
-
10’ attack line is marked on all courts.
-
Women may jump and attack from anywhere.
-
Men:
-
May attack from behind the 10’ line
-
May attack from in front of the 10’ line only if the ball has a clear upward trajectory
-
Cannot contact the ball above the net within arm’s reach of the net in front of the 10' line. If they do so outside arm’s reach, it’s legal — but must still go upward if returned.
-

-
Teams can register with 1 extra player (4 total for triples, 5 for quads).

General:
-
Rally scoring is used unless otherwise specified in the tournament description.
-
Match warm-ups are limited to 4 minutes per team to stay on schedule.
-
Let serves are allowed.
-
The ball is considered in if it contacts the line and the line “bounces.”
-
Contacting the net is a fault — even after the ball is dead. Hair is allowed to touch the net.
-
Open-hand tips are not allowed at any time (knuckle pokes are allowed).
-
Players can go under the net onto the opponent’s side only if:
-
It doesn’t interfere with play
-
There’s no contact with the other team
-
-
Blocks do not count as a touch.
-
During an overpass:
-
A blocker may not redirect the ball
-
They may only deflect it naturally or send it straight down
-
Court Boundaries
-
You may chase a ball outside the court area, but stepping onto another court kills the play — point goes to the other team.
Substitutians:
-
Allowed in pool play only if due to injury and the team has sets remaining
-
No subs once a team finishes all their pool play sets
Switching Sides:
-
Sets to 21+: switch every 7 total points
-
Sets to 15: switch every 5 total points
Setting Rules:
-
Serve receive setting is not allowed — if contacted with both hands, they must be touching with no setting motion.
-
A hard-driven ball may be doubled if it’s not a setting motion.
-
Setting is judged more strictly than indoor volleyball:
-
B Division: up to 2–3 rotations allowed
-
A Division: up to 1.5 rotations allowed
-
AA Division: 0.5–1 rotation allowed
-
-
Players are encouraged to call their own doubles.
-
A ball set over the net must be “square” with the setter’s shoulders.
-
A ball set and kept on the same side of the net has no shoulder angle restriction
